The first (3 + 2)/(3 + 2) sequential annulation of γ-vinyl allenoates with alkylidenemalononitriles enabled by phosphine catalysis has been reported. A broad range of structurally dense tetra- and penta-substituted bicyclic[3,3,0]octene derivatives ...

Transition from Kwon [4+2]- to [3+2]-cycloaddition enabled by AgF-assisted phosphine catalysis
Phosphine catalysis generally relies on the potential of carbanion-phosphonium zwitterions that are generated via nucleophilic addition of phosphine catalyst to electrophilic reactants.

Polymorphism in a secondary phosphine
Two crystal structures of bis(2,3,5,6-tetramethylphenyl)phosphine, C 20 H 27 P, are reported constituting the first recorded case of polymorphism in a secondary phosphine ( R 2 PH).

Phosphine-Catalyzed α‑Umpolung–Aldol Reaction for the Synthesis of Benzo[b]azapin-3-ones
A novel phosphine-catalyzed intermolecular cyclization between 2-sulfonamidobenzaldehyes and ynones is reported. This methodology serves as a conduit for the construction of benzo[b]azepin-3-ones in good to excellent yields under mild conditions.
