Phosphine oxide monolayers on SiO2 surfaces
(Figure Presented) Getting a grip: H-bond formation is shown to be the main mode of interaction for monolayer formation of phosphine oxides on SiO 2 substrates (see images), with covalent reaction involved to a lesser extent. In contrast to the situation

Tris(hydroxypropyl)phosphine Oxide: A Chiral Three-Dimensional Material with Nonlinear Optical Properties [PDF]
The achiral C_(3v) organic phosphine tris(hydroxypropyl)phosphine oxide (1) crystallizes in the unusual chiral hexagonal space group P6_3. The structure is highly ordered because each phosphine oxide moiety forms three hydrogen bonds with adjacent ...

Toward Chromoselective Transformations in Biological Systems: Perspectives and Challenges
Controlling biological systems with small‐molecule chromophores has evolved into a powerful strategy and is applied from chemical biology to medicine. However, the complexity of in vivo systems cannot be matched by a single wavelength of light. Developing methods to combine and individually control multiple chromophores is crucial.

Tri-n-octylphosphine oxide and tris (2-ethylhexyl) phosphine oxide complexes of uranyl nitrate [PDF]
Thesis (Ph.D.)--Boston UniversityDue to the necessity of recovering uranium from reactor fuels, a number of separation methods have been investigated in recent years. Of these, the method of solvent extraction has proved to be a practical one. Long chain

In many Pd‐catalyzed cross‐couplings, catalyst performance has been found to be limited by catalyst activation. Methylnaphthyl (MeNAP) palladium trifluoroacetate dimers are presented as easy‐to‐store and easy‐to‐handle precursors, which rapidly activate under reaction conditions, even when only weakly coordinating, non‐reducing nucleophiles are present.
