MdDSK2a‐Like‐MdMTA Module Functions in Apple Cold Response via Regulating ROS Detoxification and Cell Wall Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 26, July 10, 2025.
Under cold stress, MdDSK2a‐like is degraded via the 26S proteasome pathway, thereby alleviating the degradation of MdMTA induced by the 26S proteasome and autophagy pathways mediated by MdDSK2a‐like. The accumulated MdMTA increases the m6A levels of cold‐responsive genes, thereby contributing to increased ROS detoxification, deposition of cell wall, as

Serum Type I Interferon Score for Prediction of Clinically Meaningful Disease Progression in Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 77, Issue 7, Page 929-941, July 2025.
Objective To assess the value of serum type I interferon (IFN) score in predicting clinically meaningful progression in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) using a novel composite endpoint adopted from the MINIMISE clinical trial. Methods A retrospective, longitudinal lcSSc cohort was identified within a national, multicenter observational ...

Uncovering New Therapeutic Targets for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Neurological Diseases Using Real‐World Data

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 118, Issue 1, Page 242-251, July 2025.
Although attractive for relevance to real‐world scenarios, real‐world data (RWD) is typically used for drug repurposing and not therapeutic target discovery. Repurposing studies have identified few effective options in neurological diseases such as the rare disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which has no disease‐modifying treatments ...

FTO‐mediated m6A demethylation regulates IGFBP3 expression and AKT activation through IMP3‐dependent P‐body re‐localisation in lung cancer

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.
FTO regulates the translation of IGFBP3 by demethylating m6A sites in the 3′‐untranslated region of IGFBP3 mRNA. Binding of the m6A reader protein IMP3 to 3′UTR m6A sites in IGFBP3 mRNA promoted its localisation and sequestration in cellular organelles known as to P‐bodies, thereby suppressing IGFBP3 mRNA translation. IGFBP3 regulates activation of the

Disruption of Oligodendroglial Autophagy Leads to Myelin Morphological Deficits, Neuronal Apoptosis, and Cognitive Decline in Aged Mice

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 7, Page 1383-1397, July 2025.
Main Points Ablation of autophagy in oligodendrocytes reveals increased PLP expression, myelin abnormalities, axon degeneration and increased microglia activation in aged mice. The aged mice exhibit marked deficits in learning and memory tasks. ABSTRACT The aging central nervous system (CNS) is often marked by myelin degeneration, yet the underlying ...

Phosphate in Physiological and Pathological Mineralization: Important yet Often Unheeded

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2025.
Phosphate serves as a building block for physiological mineralization, and as a signaling molecule that regulates the activity of mineralizing cells. The disturbance in these processes could induce a series of pathological mineralization, with abnormal mineralization of hard tissues and ectopic mineralization of soft tissues being the most ...
