Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase from Fasciola hepatica
International Journal for Parasitology, 1982Abstract Behm C. A. and Bryant C. 1982. Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase from Fasciola hepatica. International Journal for Parasitology 12 : 271–278. The kinetic properties of a partially purified preparation of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) from F. hepatica were examined.

[48] Phosphoenolpyruvate synthetase
1969Publisher Summary The chapter describes the purification procedure, assay methods, and properties of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) synthetase. PEP synthetase is purified extensively from lactate-grown Escherichia coli strain B. In the purification procedure described, the final product, of specific activity 9.7, is at least 90% pure, judged by acrylamide

TWO CASES OF PHOSPHOENOLPYRUVATE CARBOXYKINASE DEFICIENCY
Acta Paediatrica, 1976ABSTRACT. Two children are described who suffered from hypoglycemia and liver impairment. Assays of gluconeogenic enzymes in liver samples taken immediately after death demonstrated a deficiency of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, a key enzyme of gluconeogenesis.

Phosphoenolpyruvate synthetase inMethanobacterium thermoautotrophicum
Archives of Microbiology, 1982The thermophilic autotrophMethanobacterium thermoautotrophicum assimilates CO2 via a novel pathway rather than via the Calvin cycle. The central intermediate of this pathway is acetyl CoA which is reductively carboxylated to pyruvate. Cell extracts of the organism contained phosphoenolpyruvate synthetase with a specific activity of 100 nmol min-1 mg-1 ...
