Phosphomolybdic acid and mixed phosphotungstic/phosphomolybdic acid chitosan membranes as polymer electrolyte for H2/O2 fuel cells

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2017
Abstract Flat, free-standing phosphomolybdic acid and mixed phosphotungstic/phosphomolybdic acid chitosan membranes were prepared by in-situ ionotropic gelation process at room temperature on porous alumina support firstly impregnated by heteropolyacid. Scanning electron microscopy revealed the formation of compact and homogenous polymeric membranes,

Transport properties of phosphomolybdate and phosphotungstate glasses

Philosophical Magazine B, 1988
The d.c. conductivity of phosphomolybdate and phosphotungstate glasses is discussed. The conductivity of these glasses is due to the hopping of electrons between two valence states (Mo5+ to Mo6+ or W5+ W6+). In some of the glasses, the activation energy itself is found to be a function of temperature.

Liquefaction of Wyodak Coal with Phosphomolybdic Acid

Energy & Fuels, 1998
Phosphomolybdic acid (PMA) has been found to be a very effective catalyst precursor for direct liquefaction of Wyodak coal. A concentration of 300 mg Mo/kg maf coal of PMA imparts greater activity when impregnated onto the coal compared to adding the crystalline solid directly to the reaction mixture.

Phosphomolybdic acid-assisted thermal oxidation of GaAs

Russian Microelectronics, 2007
An experimental investigation is conducted into the thermal oxidation of GaAs assisted by phosphomolybdic acid. The mechanism of the process is identified. It is established that oxide films thus produced consist mainly of GaPO4 and are superior in insulating performance to ones made by conventional thermal oxidation.

Studies on the extraction of phosphomolybdate by polyether foam

Talanta, 1983
To establish the mechanism of heteropoly anion extraction, the sorption of phosphomolybdate by polyether-based polyurethane foam was investigated. The effect of several variables on the extraction was studied and the optimum conditions were ascertained.

Fabrication of photochromic phosphomolybdic acid monolayer film

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2003
A photochromic monolayer film of phosphomolybdic acid (denoted as PMo12) was fabricated by self-assembly approach. UV-visible spectrum and AFM observation show that the monolayer film is composed of aggregated PMo12 molecules. The monolayer film shows good photochromic properties, with enough stability and reversibility.

Electrodeposition of doped solid films of phosphomolybdates

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1999
The demand for materials that catalyse heterogenous reactions stimulated the interest in formation of solid ®lms of some polynuclear transition metal cyanides and oxides [1±8]. Some cyano-metalates have been anodically immobilized on electrode surfaces [1±5] as insoluble mixed valence polynuclear compounds.

Colloidally Confined Crystallization of Highly Efficient Ammonium Phosphomolybdate Catalysts

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2018
Nanodroplets in inverse miniemulsions provide a colloidal confinement for the crystallization of ammonium phosphomolybdate (APM), influencing the resulting particle size. The effects of the space confinement are investigated by comparing the crystallization of analogous materials both in miniemulsion and in bulk solution.

Use of Phosphomolybdic Acid in Chemical Analysis

Nature, 1934
DURING some recent investigations into the structure of the salts of the 12-heteropoly acids, and, in particular, those of 12-phosphomolybdic acid, it was found that the salts of certain monovalent elements were sparingly soluble. This led us to test whether this fact could be made use of in chemical analysis.

Phosphomolybdic acid immobilized on graphite as an environmental photoelectrocatalyst

Chemosphere, 2016
A new phosphomolybdic acid (PMA)/Graphite surface was prepared based on electrostatic interactions between phosphomolybdic acid and graphite surface. The PMA/Graphite was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis and scanning electron microscope (SEM).
