Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium salts: Their properties, hazards and toxicities
Phosphorus Sulfur and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2020Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium chloride (THPC) and sulfate (THPS) are of importance in the textile industry as flame retardants, in the oil industry as scale-removers, as biocides for water systems, in the leather industry as tanning agents, in ...

Visible-Light-Induced Selective Photolysis of Phosphonium Iodide Salts for Monofluoromethylations.
Angewandte Chemie, 2021The sigma (σ)-hole effect has emerged as a promising tool to construct novel architectures endowed with new properties. A simple yet effective strategy for the generation of monofluoromethyl radical is a continuing challenge within the synthetic ...

Effective enantioselective recognition by chiral amino-phosphonium salts.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020The research on chiral recognition and selection is not only fundamental in deciding the mystery of homochirality, but also informative in terms of substrate recognition in biological processes and asymmetric catalysis.

Phosphonium salts. I. The alkaline hydrolysis of some bis-phosphonium salts
Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1969Ethane- and ethene-1,2-bisphosphonium salts are cleaved by alkali into a phosphine and a phosphine oxide with loss of the two-carbon bridge. When the phosphorus atom carries benzyl substituents, loss of the benzyl groups is competitive with loss of the bridge.
