Wetland phosphorus dynamics and phosphorus removal potential

Water Environment Research, 2022
AbstractWetlands are typically defined as inundated areas with hydric soils forming a transitional zone between terrestrial and aquatic systems. Wetlands have numerous ecosystem benefits, one of which is the potential to mitigate or reverse eutrophication of surface water bodies.

Superconducting Phosphorus

Science, 1968
Phosphorus, the element itself, becomes superconducting near 4.7°K and at pressures exceeding 100 kilobars. This constitutes one of the four last missing links in the proof that superconductivity is normal behavior for every truly metallic sp element. The three remaining ones are arsenic, sulfur, and iodine.

Phosphorus vapor exposure in phosphorus using plants

American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1978
Operator exposure to phosphorus in five areas in the five FMC using plants was documented primarily with area samplers. However, where significant levels of phosphorus vapors were found, personal sampling was also performed. Eight-hour time-weighted-average phosphorus exposure levels were estimated for operators in the phosphorus burning plants from ...

Phosphorus Isocyanates

Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1969
AbstractCompounds containing the PNCO grouping can be obtained e.g. from phosphorus halides and silver cyanate or esters of N‐chloroiminocarbonic acid and by thermal decomposition of alkoxycarbonylimino‐phosphoranes. The phosphorus (V) isocyanates resemble the “carbon” isocyanates in their chemical properties, whereas the phosphorus (III) isocyanates ...
