Environmental aspects of soil phosphorus testing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
peer-reviewedSoil phosphorus testing in Ireland uses Morgan’s reagent from samples taken to 10 cm depth for agronomic recommendations. However, its suitability as an environmental indicator has been questioned in terms of sample depth and extraction ...

Investigating periphyton biofilm response to changing phosphorus concentrations in UK rivers using within-river flumes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The excessive growth of benthic algal biofilms in UK rivers is a widespread problem, resulting in loss of plant communities and wider ecological damage.

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

MODIFICATION OF ANALYTICAL FORMS IN INDIRECT ATOMICABSORPTION DETERMINATION OF PHOSPHORUS

open access: yesКонденсированные среды и межфазные границы, 2018
The new analytical forms for indirect atomic absorption determination of phosphorus – the 11-molybdoironphosphate heteropolycomplex and ion associate of copper(ІІ) phenantrolinate- molybdophosphate – were theoretical substantiated and tested which ...

Effect of dietary phosphorus intake and age on intestinal phosphorus absorption efficiency and phosphorus balance in male rats. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Intestinal phosphorus absorption is an important component of whole-body phosphorus metabolism, and limiting dietary phosphorus absorption is particularly of interest as a therapeutic target in patients with chronic kidney disease to manage mineral bone ...

Determination of TMEn, standardized amino acid digestibility, phosphorus digestibility, and phosphorus bioavailability in conventional and reduced phosphorus distillers dried grains with solubles

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2023
: The TMEn, amino acid (AA) digestibility, and P availability in 2 conventional corn distillers dried grains with solubles (C-DDGS1 and 2; 0.86 to 1.14% P, DM basis) and reduced phosphorus DDGS (RP-DDGS; 0.39% P) were evaluated. The TMEn of C-DDGS1 and 2

Chemical changes in the adductor muscle of the cheliped of the crayfish in relation to the double motor innervation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1938
Work from this laboratory has shown that a number of the striated muscles of the legs of the crayfish show a typical motor innervation (1). Such muscles are innervated by two motor fibers only, each causing a different type of contraction.
