Phosphorylase kinase deficiency

Biochemical Genetics, 1970
Phosphorylase kinase deficiency in I strain mice and in humans both show X-chromosomal inheritance. Neither deficient adult humans nor deficient mice show any sign of disease. Thus the two conditions resemble each other. However, there are differences.

Phosphorylase kinase isozymes and phosphorylase in denervated skeletal muscles

Muscle & Nerve, 1990
AbstractThe effects of motor denervation on levels of phosphorylase kinase isozymes and phosphorylase were investigated in rat epitrochlearis, hemidiaphragm, and soleus muscles. Amounts of the proteins were measured after quantitative immunoprecipitation and found to be decreased by as much as 70% 2 weeks after denervation.

Phosphorylase in Plastids

Nature, 1948
IN a previous paper1, a method has been described for the detection of the enzyme phosphorylase in plant tissues. Briefly, it consists of incubating freehand sections of the tissue, previously freed of starch by starvation, in a buffered solution of glucose-1-phosphate, and subsequent staining in iodine–potassium iodide for the resultant starch.

Liver phosphorylase phosphatase

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 1982
Recent progress in studies on the properties and regulation of liver phosphorylase phosphatase can be divided into four stages. First, isolation from multiple molecular forms of phosphorylase phosphatase, of a single form of catalytic subunit (Mr = 32 000-35 000) which is active toward phosphorylase a and also toward a variety of protein substrates ...
