In vivo characterization and analysis of glioblastoma at different stages using multiscale photoacoustic molecular imaging

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2023
Simultaneous spatio-temporal description of tumor microvasculature, blood-brain barrier, and immune activity is pivotal to understanding the evolution mechanisms of highly aggressive glioblastoma, one of the most common primary brain tumors in adults ...

Nanomedicine Meets Immunotherapy: Advancing Adoptive Cell Therapy with Nanoparticles in the Treatment of Cancer with Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Quickly Alternating Green and Red Laser Source for Real-time Multispectral Photoacoustic Microscopy

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2020
Multispectral photoacoustic microscopy uses a wavelength-dependent absorption difference as a contrast mechanism to image the target molecule. In this paper, we present a novel multispectral pulsed fiber laser source, which selectively alternates the ...

SCANNING PHOTOACOUSTIC MICROSCOPY

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 1982
The principle, possible applications and prospects of the scanning photoacoustie microscopy are described briefly. The microscopy system presented herewith attains a resolution of about 4,5 μm. Some images of such samples as the interdigital transducer of surface acoustic wave, integrated circuit and in particular the subsurface structure of the ...

Vascular bifurcation mapping with photoacoustic microscopy

open access: yesBiomedical Optics Express, 2020
The early detection of microvascular changes in cancer diagnosis is needed in the clinic. A change in the vascular bifurcation density is a biomarker for the sprouting activity. Here, Optical-Resolution PhotoAcoustic Microscopy is used for quantitative vascular bifurcation mapping in 2D after the creation of Virtual Tubes out of Bifurcations. In stacks

Single-shot photoacoustic microscopy of hemoglobin concentration, oxygen saturation, and blood flow in sub-microseconds

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2020
We present fast functional optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (OR-PAM) that can simultaneously image hemoglobin concentration, blood flow speed, and oxygen saturation with three-pulse excitation. To instantaneously determine the blood flow speed,
