Regulation and Properties of the Glutamine Synthetase Purified from Photobacterium phosphoreum

The Journal of Biochemistry, 1986
Glutamine synthetase from a marine enterobacterium, Photobacterium phosphoreum, was purified to homogeneity from cells grown in glycerol-yeast extract medium. The purified enzyme had a molecular weight of approximately 670,000 and a subunit size of 56,000, i.e. larger than that of the enzyme from E. coli. Regulation of the glutamine synthetase activity

Photobacterium phosphoreum toxicity bioassay. II. Toxicity data compilation

Toxicity Assessment, 1988
AbstractThis review of Photobacterium phosphoreum toxicity bioassay, commonly known as the Microtox tests, consists of two parts. This second part (Toxicity Data Compilation) is a listing of all published and certain unpublished Microtox toxicity data for single organic compounds, including some salts and organometallic compounds. This listing consists

Assessment of toxicity of volatile fatty acids to Photobacterium phosphoreum

Microbiology, 2014
The toxicity of four volatile fatty acids (VFAs) as anaerobic digestion (AD) intermediates was investigated at pH 7. Photobacterium phosphoreum T3 was used as an indicator organism. Binary, ternary and mixtures of AD intermediates were designated by letters A (acetic acid + propionic acid), B (acetic acid + butyric acid), C (acetic acid + ethanol), D ...

[Modification of the Photobacterium phosphoreum toxicity test method].

Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2001
In order to reduce the variation of Photobacterium phosphoreum luminous intensity during testing, the Photobacterium phosphoreum toxicity test was modified by a correction factor, PIacetone, in this paper. The effects of magnetic stirring time, culture time, culture generation and culture temperature on the measured results were discussed. The modified

[ATP pool and bioluminescence in psychrophilic bacteria Photobacterium phosphoreum].

Mikrobiologiia, 2015
Bioluminescence activity and ATP pool were investigated in the culture of psychrophilic bacteria Photobacterium phosphoreum collected-from the exponential and stationary growth phases, as well as immobilized in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) cryogel. In liquid culture, ATP pool remained at an almost a constant level throughout the luminescence cycle (over 100
