Distorsion of Isochromatic Fringes in the Process of Stress Measurement in Structural Part by Photoelasticimetry

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering, 2018
In the article we show the possibility of distorting the results of the experiment by photoelasticity path, in case the isochromatic fringe patterns are recorded by the camera.

Inverse problem of photoelastic fringe mapping using neural networks

open access: yes, 2007
This paper presents an enhanced technique for inverse analysis of photoelastic fringes using neural networks to determine the applied load. The technique may be useful in whole-field analysis of photoelastic images obtained due to external loading, which

Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

Development of a Mobile Device for the Evaluation of the Current in Situ Stress Condition in Glass

open access: yesChallenging Glass Conference Proceedings, 2018
In present-day practice, monitoring the installation process and the utilisation of glass and hybrid components, e.g. glass/steel or glass/plastic, has become increasingly important. To date, the quality control options for built-in glass is limited.

Elastik Sınırlar İçerisinde Oluşan Gerilmelerin Fotoelastisite Yöntemiyle Belirlenmesi

open access: yesDüzce Üniversitesi Bilim ve Teknoloji Dergisi, 2014
Bu çalışmada, çelik çekme levhasında elastik sınırlar içerisinde oluşturulan eksenel çekme gerilmelerinin klasik gerilme formülleri ve fotoelastisite yöntemi ile belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Deneylerde Fe37 kalite çelik levhalar kullanılmıştır.
