Triplet Metallovinylidenes of Palladium and Platinum Based on a Chelating P/Diazoalkene Ligand

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 1, 2 January 2026.
A new class of chelating diazoalkenes is presented and their coordination complexes with Pd and Pt are characterized. Irradiation triggers N2 loss and gives access to the first triplet metallovinylidenes spectroscopically characterized utilizing FD‐FT THz‐EPR spectroscopy and SQUID measurements.

A Robust Heparin‐Mimicking Polyglycerol‐Based Coating for Blood‐Contacting Devices with Long‐Term Hemocompatibility and Preliminary Anti‐Inflammatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 2, 14 January 2026.
A robust heparin‐mimicking coating based on sulfated polyglycerol is constructed via layer‐by‐layer assembly on bloodcontacting surfaces. The coating exhibits long‐term anticoagulant and anti‐inflammatory properties by resisting protein adsorption, preventing platelet activation, and suppressing immune responses, offering a promising strategy for ...

Cryptocyanine‐Based Fluorescent Probes for DNA Detection: Controlling Solubility and Aggregation Through Side Chain Design

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
Cryptocyanine‐based fluorogenic DNA probes with improved water solubility and reduced aggregation were developed by tuning side‐chain polarity. The derivatives exhibit high fluorescence enhancement upon DNA binding, highlighting their potential as environment‐sensitive tools for nucleic acid detection and bioanalytical applications.
