Time-resolved photometric and spectroscopic analysis of a luminous Ap star HD103498

open access: yes, 2009
We present the results on the photometric and spectroscopic monitoring of a luminous Ap star HD103498. The time-series photometric observations were carried out on 17 nights using three-channel fast photometer attached to the 1.04-m optical telescope at ...

The ALHAMBRA Survey: Bayesian Photometric Redshifts with 23 bands for 3 squared degrees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The ALHAMBRA (Advance Large Homogeneous Area Medium Band Redshift Astronomical) survey has observed 8 different regions of the sky, including sections of the COSMOS, DEEP2, ELAIS, GOODS-N, SDSS and Groth fields using a new photometric system with 20 ...

Development of a Synthetic 3D Platform for Compartmentalized Kidney In Vitro Disease Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic, compartmentalized 3D kidney disease model is introduced. The kidney model combines a PEG‐based hydrogel matrix with anisotropic, enzymatically degradable rod‐shaped microgels to spatially arrange a triple co‐culture of key renal epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblast cells.

Fast CCD Photometry in the Taiwan-America Occultation Survey

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
We describe the efforts of the Taiwan-America Occultation Survey (TAOS) project to develop a data acquisition and analysis scheme for fast CCD imaging photometry.

The Vegan Villain Sets Out to The End of Summer: Functionalized Coatings as Biohybrid UV‐Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study introduces biohybrid coatings incorporating E. coli biomass expressing photoconvertible fluorescent proteins as UV‐A responsive elements. Upon irradiation at 400 nm, the coatings exhibit an irreversible fluorescence shift from green to red within 15 min. Notably, the photoconversion capability is retained after >1 year of storage.

The Reduction of CCD Images for Stellar Photometry on the Vatt

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
We briefly describe a method of organizing all the star field exposures taken in a complete CCD observational run. By a “CommandLog” (to be published in J. Astron.

A Detailed Study of Photometric Redshifts for GOODS-South Galaxies

open access: yes, 2010
We use the deepest and the most comprehensive photometric data currently available for GOODS-South galaxies to measure their photometric redshifts. The photometry includes VLT/VIMOS (U-band), HST/ACS (F435W, F606W, F775W, and F850LP bands), VLT/ISAAC (J-,

Unlocking Spin Dynamics: Spin‐Orbit Coupling Driven Spin State Interconversion in Carbazole‐Containing TADF Emitters

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores overlapping charge transport mechanisms in TADF materials and identifies spin‐orbit coupling as the dominant mechanism for triplet‐to‐singlet transition in carbazole‐based cyanoarene emitters. Computational investigations reveal a second spin‐orbit‐coupling‐mediated reverse intersystem crossing pathway, significantly enhancing the ...

Merging Data from Large and Small Telescopes – Good or Bad? And: How Useful is the Application of Statistical Weights to Time-Series Photometric Measurements?

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
I have investigated the value of the contribution of small telescopes to the success of a whole WET run. To this end, I have applied different data weighting schemes to two extreme WET test data sets. I find that weights proportional to the inverse local

LED Luminaires: Many Chips—Many Photometric and Lighting Simulation Issues to Solve

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Currently, built LED luminaires are usually multi-source. This causes a large number of photometric and simulation problems connected with computer lighting visualization.
