Unipolar Barrier Near‐Infrared 2D Photodetectors for 3D Image Sensors
A MoTe2/WSe2/Cl–SnSe2 unipolar barrier photodetector is demonstrated, in which the WSe2 layer effectively blocks majority‐carrier injection, yielding suppressed dark current and enhanced near‐infrared (NIR) sensing. The device achieves high detectivity, a wide linear dynamic range, and fast response under 1310 nm illumination, enabling high‐fidelity 3D

Dual-Star Photometer at the Tallinn Observatory
We briefly describe the dual-star photometer designed by P. Kalv, a former director of Tallinn Observatory (1934-2002) for multicolor photometry of close binaries and intrinsic variable stars.

VlPAG/DRN Microglia Drive Neuropathic Pain‐Induced Depression via a Defined Neuroimmune Axis
Peripheral nerve injury (SNI) induces neuropathic pain, activates midbrain microglia, and triggers an NLRP3–IL‐1β–dependent inflammatory cascade. IL‐1β signals through IL‐1R1 on vlPAG/DRN VGLUT2+ neurons (vlPAG/DRNGlu), inducing hyperexcitability and driving the vlPAG/DRNGlu→BNSTGABA circuit to produce the affective component of neuropathic pain ...

TRIPP: An Aperture Photometry Package for the Reduction of CCD Time Series Images
TRIPP is an aperture photometry program designed with the purpose of extracting light curves from large sets of similar CCD frames typically obtained during time-resolved photometric monitoring campaigns such as, for example, WET runs.

In Situ Contact Angle Measurement for Autonomous Spin Coating in Self‐Driving Labs
A vision‐based add‐on transforms commercial spin coaters into autonomous modules of Self‐Driving Labs. Combining a width‐scaled U‐Net with classical geometric analysis, the system simultaneously measures contact angles and estimates substrate pose using a single camera.

Ultraviolet Passbands for a Space Multicolor Photometric System
The results of search for the optimal location of ultraviolet passbands for an extra-atmospheric photometric system are given. The addition of passbands near the well-known extinction bump at 218 nm to the photometric system makes it possible to ...

Interstellar Extinction in the Direction of The Barnard 1 Dark Cloud in Perseus
Spectral and luminosity classes, absolute magnitudes, color excesses, interstellar extinctions and distances are determined for 98 stars down to 18 mag in the Barnard 1 dark cloud belonging to the Per OB2 association. The classification of stars is based

The THESEUS Space Mission and the Infrared Telescope Calibration Unit
ABSTRACT The Transient High‐Energy Sky and Early Universe Surveyor (THESEUS) is an ESA M7 mission concept currently in Phase A, designed to exploit gamma‐ray bursts to probe the early Universe while advancing multi‐messenger and time‐domain astrophysics. To achieve its ambitious goals, THESEUS will combine wide‐band x‐ray and gamma‐ray monitors with an

Morpho-photometric redshifts [PDF]
ABSTRACT Machine learning (ML) is one of two standard approaches (together with SED fitting) for estimating the redshifts of galaxies when only photometric information is available. ML photo-z solutions have traditionally ignored the morphological information available in galaxy images or partly included it in the form of hand-crafted ...
