The Reduction of CCD Images for Stellar Photometry on the Vatt

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
We briefly describe a method of organizing all the star field exposures taken in a complete CCD observational run. By a “CommandLog” (to be published in J. Astron.

A Test of Photometric Redshifts for X-ray Selected Sources

open access: yes, 2002
We test the effectiveness of photometric redshifts based upon galaxy spectral template fitting for X-ray luminous objects, using a sample of 65 sources detected by Chandra in the field of the Caltech Faint Galaxy Redshift Survey (CFGRS).

One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Overlapping Open Clusters NGC 1750 and NGC 1758 behind the Taurus Dark Clouds. II. CCD Photometry in the Vilnius System

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
Seven-color photometry in the Vilnius system has been obtained for 420 stars down to V = 16 mag in the area containing the overlapping open clusters NGC 1750 and NGC 1758 in Taurus.

Modeling Long-Term Photometric Data of Trans-Neptunian Objects and Centaurs

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2022
Trans-Neptunian objects and Centaurs are small Solar System bodies that reside in the outer parts of the Solar System. These objects present photometric behaviors that are influenced due to a change in their aspect angle.

The K20 survey. III. Photometric and spectroscopic properties of the sample

open access: yes, 2002
The K20 survey is an ESO VLT optical and near-infrared spectroscopic survey aimed at obtaining spectral information and redshifts of a complete sample of about 550 objects to K_s\leq20.0 over two independent fields with a total area of 52 arcmin^2.

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

A New Approach to the Long-Term Activity Behavior of DM UMa

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2012
A long-term activity character of DM UMa (K0-1 IV-III), which is one of the most active members of the RS CVn type variables, is examined using the multicolor photometric observations which spread to the time interval between 1980 and 2009. In this work,

Fast redshift clustering with the Baire (ultra) metric

open access: yes, 2011
The Baire metric induces an ultrametric on a dataset and is of linear computational complexity, contrasted with the standard quadratic time agglomerative hierarchical clustering algorithm.
