Late Light Curves of Normal Type Ia Supernovae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present late-epoch optical photometry (BVRI) of seven normal/super-luminous Type Ia supernovae: SN 2000E, SN 2000ce, SN 2000cx, SN 2001C, SN 2001V, SN 2001bg, SN 2001dp.

Parasubthalamic Glutamatergic Neurons Coordinate Cardiovascular Homeostasis and Locomotion in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTNVglut2 neurons function as a new central baroreflex hub via projections to the NTS, modulating parasympathetic cardiac output to maintain cardiovascular homeostasis while synchronously regulating locomotion. Blood pressure fluctuations negatively correlate with locomotor performance.

Photometric Confirmation of MACHO Large Magellanic Cloud Microlensing Events

open access: yes, 2005
We present previously unpublished photometry of three Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) microlensing events and show that the new photometry confirms the microlensing interpretation of these events.

Activation of Kir4.1 Channels by 2‐D08 Promotes Myelin Repair in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiple sclerosis causes myelin loss and neurological dysfunction. This study shows that 2‐D08, a small molecule targeting Kir4.1 channels, promotes OPCs differentiation via FYN tyrosine kinase phosphorylation and the FYN/MYRF pathway. It significantly improves myelin repair and motor deficits in EAE mice and marmosets, highlighting its potential as a

Photometric Redshifts and Photometry Errors

open access: yes, 2007
We examine the impact of non-Gaussian photometry errors on photometric redshift performance. We find that they greatly increase the scatter, but this can be mitigated to some extent by incorporating the correct noise model into the photometric redshift ...

Recalibrating the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) W4 Filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a revised effective wavelength and photometric calibration for the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) W4 band, including tests of empirically motivated modifications to its pre-launch laboratory-measured relative system response curve.

Counterbalancing O‐GlcNAcylation and STAT3 Phosphorylation in Ventral Tegmental Area Dopaminergic Neurons Mediates Behavioral Adaptations to Acute Restraint Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acute restraint stress enhances STAT3Ser727 phosphorylation in dopaminergic neurons in mice. This modification promotes the upregulation of GABBR2 and GABRB3, reduces neuronal activity, and contributes to anxiety‐like behavior and diminished reward‐seeking following stress exposure.

Jitter Across 15 yr: Leveraging Precise Photometry from Kepler and TESS to Extract Exoplanets from Radial Velocity Time Series

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Stellar activity contamination of radial velocity (RV) data is one of the top challenges plaguing the field of extreme-precision RV science. Previous work has shown that photometry can be very effective at removing such signals from RV data, especially ...
