Radiomics Feature Stability in True and Virtual Non-Contrast Reconstructions from Cardiac Photon-Counting Detector CT Datasets

open access: yesDiagnostics
Objectives: Virtual non-contrast (VNC) series reconstructed from contrast-enhanced cardiac scans acquired with photon counting detector CT (PCD-CT) systems have the potential to replace true non-contrast (TNC) series.

Dual‐Target Nectin‐4/FAP Heterobivalent Probe 68Ga/177Lu‐FZ‐NF‐1 for Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer: Preclinical Theranostic Evaluation and First‐in‐Human Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel hetero‐bivalent agent, 68Ga/177Lu‐FZ‐NF‐1, concurrently targets Nectin‐4 and FAP in triple‐negative breast cancer. It yields significant preclinical tumor regression and clinically identifies additional metastatic lesions missed by 18F‐FDG PET, demonstrating promising theranostic potential for personalized management.

An Image-Based Prior Knowledge-Free Approach for a Multi-Material Decomposition in Photon-Counting Computed Tomography

open access: yesDiagnostics
Photon-counting CT systems generally allow for acquiring multiple spectral datasets and thus for decomposing CT images into multiple materials. We introduce a prior knowledge-free deterministic material decomposition approach for quantifying three ...

Immunomagnetic‐MXene Bifunctional Probes for Ultrasensitive and Specific Terahertz Metasensing of Tumor‐Derived Exosomes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An immunomagnetic‐MXene bifunctional probe integrated with THz metamaterials enables ultrasensitive and specific detection of pancreatic cancer‐derived exosomes. Dual biomarker recognition ensures high specificity, while MXene signal amplification achieves a detection limit of 647 particles mL−1.

Decoupling Chemical and Mechanical Contributions to Capacity Fading in Ni‐Rich Cathodes for Sulfide‐Based All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Ni‐rich cathodes in sulfide‐based ASSBs undergo intertwined (electro)chemical and mechanical degradation. Here, a new diagnostic framework is presented to decouple each contribution by partitioning capacity fading into charge and discharge fading.

Quantifying Photon Counting Detector (Pcd) Performance Using Pcd-Ct Images

open access: yes
Background: Photon counting detector CTs (PCD-CTs) have recently been introduced to clinical imaging. This development creates a new need for end-users to quantify and monitor the physical performance of PCDs.

Cell Segmentation Beyond 2D—A Review of the State‐of‐the‐Art

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Cell segmentation underpins many biological image analysis tasks, yet most deep learning methods remain limited to 2D despite the inherently 3D nature of cellular processes. This review surveys segmentation approaches beyond 2D, comparing 2.5D and fully 3D methods, analyzing 31 models and 32 volumetric datasets, and introducing a unified reference ...
