Origin of Enhanced Efficiency and Reduced Roll‐Off in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes Based on Pt(II) Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Controlled Pt–Pt fine structure in square‐planar Pt(II) complexes governs metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MMLCT) state formation, exciton dynamics, and organic light‐emitting diode performance. Short Pt–Pt contacts in Pt(fppz)2 enable coherent metal–metal coupling, sub‐microsecond emission and an external quantum efficiency of 29%, whereas ...

Mesoporous PU/PEDOT:PSS Electrodes Reveal Population‐Level Stochastic Bioelectrical Dynamics in Marine Diatoms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesoporous mixed ionic‐electronic PU/PEDOT: PSS electrodes enable label‐free detection of stochastic extracellular bioelectrical dynamics in living Phaeodactylum tricornutum. Living diatoms actively modulate interfacial ionic dynamics, establishing stochastic electrochemical noise as a sensitive probe of microbial bioelectrochemical activity and a new ...

MATERIAL DECOMPOSITION USING A PHOTON COUNTING CT SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The purpose of this research is to validate the availability of a material decomposition with a photon counting CT. We used a photon counting detector that was able to measure four energy bins.

AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

Time-resolved fast-neutron imaging with a pulse-counting image intensifier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A new imaging method that combines high-efficiency fast-neutron detection with sub-ns time resolution is presented. This is achieved by exploiting the high neutron detection efficiency of a thick scintillator and the fast timing capability and ...

One‐Step Access to Ultra‐Bright Macrocyclic Oligo‐BODIPYs Featuring Long‐Lived Cyclic Excitons

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Strong Fluorescence Meets Long Lifetimes: A template‐free, one‐step synthesis affords a series of methylene‐bridged macrocyclic oligo‐BODIPYs combining strong fluorescence with exceptionally long fluorescence lifetimes. Steady‐state and time‐resolved optical spectroscopy reveal unique excitonic coupling conditions and unusual size‐dependent ...

First photon-counting detector computed tomography in the living crocodile: a 3D-Imaging study with special reference to amphibious hearing

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology
BackgroundCrocodiles are semi-aquatic animals well adapted to hear both on land and under water. Currently, there is limited information on how their amphibious hearing is accomplished. Here, we describe, for the first time, the ear anatomy in the living
