Vector-vector production in photon-photon interactions [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1989
Measurements of exclusive untagged ρ0ρ0,ρφ,K*K*, and ρω production and tagged ρ0ρ0 production in photon‐photon interactions by the TPC/Two‐Gamma experiment are reviewed. Comparisons to the results of other experiments and to models of vector‐vector production are made.

Probing flavor-changing interactions in photon-photon collisions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1998
We examine the subprocess $ \to t\bar{c}+\bar{t}c$ at electron-positron colliders in the two-Higgs-doublet model with flavor-changing scalar couplings, where all the one-loop contribuions are considered, and the results are applicable to the whole mass range of the weakly coupled Higgs bosons.

RNA Identification and Detection of Nucleic Acids as Aerosols in Air Samples by Means of Photon and Electron Interactions

open access: yesInstruments, 2021
This study presents a methodology to reveal traces of viral particles, as aerosol with known chemical and molecular structure, in a sample by means of photon and electron interactions. The method is based on Monte Carlo simulations and on the analysis of

Photon - Photon Interaction

open access: yes, 2018
The famous 1927 Solvay Conference was considered a turning point in the world of Physics. The scientific realists like Albert Einstein had lost and the instrumentalists like Niels Bohr had won the fundamental conflict. Since then Physics has followed the path of the instrumentalists in which Quantum Physics has been determined by the concept of ...

Photon-photon interaction in a photon gas [PDF]

open access: yesEurophysics Letters (EPL), 2000
Using the effective Lagrangian for the low energy photon-photon interaction the lowest order photon self energy at finite temperature and in non-equilibrium is calculated within the real time formalism. The Debye mass, the dispersion relation, the dielectric tensor, and the velocity of light following from the photon self energy are discussed.

Control of photon-photon interaction via a cavity

open access: yesOptics Express, 2023
Controlling the interaction between photons is one of the important technologies applied to quantum information processing at the few-photon level. We investigate the two-photon interaction via a Ξ-type atom, where one atomic transition is coupled to a one-dimensional waveguide, and the other transition is coupled to a cavity field.

Constraints on CP-Odd ALP Couplings from EDM Limits of Fermions

open access: yesParticles, 2020
We discuss constraints on soft CP-violating couplings of axion-like particles with photon and fermions by using data on electric dipole moments of standard model particles.

Inclusive hard processes in photon-photon and photon-proton interactions

open access: yes, 1999
Measurements of jet, prompt photon, high-pT hadron and heavy quark production in photon-induced processes provide tests of QCD and are sensitive to the photon parton densities.
