Thermo-optical interactions in a dye-microcavity photon Bose–Einstein condensate

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
Superfluidity and Bose–Einstein condensation are usually considered as two closely related phenomena. Indeed, in most macroscopic quantum systems, like liquid helium, ultracold atomic Bose gases, and exciton-polaritons, condensation and superfluidity ...

Scrutinizing a massless dark photon: Basis independence

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
A new U(1)X gauge boson field X can have renormalizable kinetic mixing with the standard model (SM) U(1)Y gauge boson field Y. This mixing induces interactions of X with SM particles even though X starts as a dark photon without such interactions. If the

Changing optical band structure with single photons

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
Achieving strong interactions between individual photons enables a wide variety of exciting possibilities in quantum information science and many-body physics. Cold atoms interfaced with nanophotonic structures have emerged as a platform to realize novel

Vector-vector production in photon-photon interactions [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1989
Measurements of exclusive untagged ρ0ρ0,ρφ,K*K*, and ρω production and tagged ρ0ρ0 production in photon‐photon interactions by the TPC/Two‐Gamma experiment are reviewed. Comparisons to the results of other experiments and to models of vector‐vector production are made.

Experimental results on photon-photon interactions at adone

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1979
Abstract Experimental results for the reactions e+e− → e+e− + X are presented for X = e+e−, μ+μ−, π+π− , ″'. A tagging technique has been used to detect final electrons and positrons. A QED test is performed and an upper limit of 20 keV is derived for the partial width Γ(η′ → γγ).

Measurement of the Second-Order Polarizability of Silver Nanoparticles With Reference-Free Hyper-Rayleigh Scattering for Entangled Photon Pair Interaction

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
Two-photon interactions of entangled-photon pairs with metallic nanoparticles (NPs) can be enhanced by localized surface-plasmon resonance. Recently, we have described how the properties of this quantum light-matter interaction can be deduced from ...

Photon-Photon Interaction in Glueball Production [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics: Conference Series, 2017
In the last years many exotic states have been identified in several colliders around the world. One of the exotic states provided in QCD is the glueball. Using a non-relativistic gluon bound-state model, we compute [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is a pseudoscalar, tensor, or scalar digluon.

Detecting photon-photon interactions in a superconducting circuit

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2015
A local interaction between photons can be engineered by coupling a nonlinear system to a transmission line. The required high impedance transmission line can be conveniently formed from a chain of Josephson junctions. The nonlinearity is generated by side-coupling this chain to a Cooper pair box.

Probing flavor-changing interactions in photon-photon collisions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1998
We examine the subprocess $γγ\to t\bar{c}+\bar{t}c$ at electron-positron colliders in the two-Higgs-doublet model with flavor-changing scalar couplings, where all the one-loop contribuions are considered, and the results are applicable to the whole mass range of the weakly coupled Higgs bosons.
