Pion and Kaon Pair Production in Photon-Photon Collisions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1986
We report measurements of the two-photon processes e-italic/sup +/e/sup -/..-->..e/sup +/e/sup -/..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ and e-italic/sup +/e/sup -/..-->..e/sup +/e/sup -/K/sup +/K/sup -/, at an e-italic/sup +/e/sup -/ center-of-mass energy of 29 GeV.

Prompt Photon Production at the Tevatron and LHC

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
Prompt photon production has been studied by the CDF and DØ experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron collider in pp̅ collisions at the centre of mass energy of √s = 1.96 TeV and by the ATLAS experiment at LHC in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV.Measurements of ...

NNLO photon fragmentation within antenna subtraction

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2022
We report on our recent progress towards including the photon fragmentation contribution in next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD predictions for photon production cross sections.

Semi-inclusive photon-hadron production in pp and pA collisions at RHIC and LHC

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate semi-inclusive photon-hadron production in the color glass condensate (CGC) framework at RHIC and the LHC energies in proton-proton (pp) and proton-nucleus (pA) collisions. We calculate the coincidence probability for azimuthal correlation

Production of MSSM Higgs Bosons in Photon-Photon Collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The heavy neutral Higgs bosons H, A in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model can be produced as single resonances at high-energy gamma gamma colliders.

Hadron production in virtual photon-photon annihilation [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1974
Abstract In this article, we systematically study the amplitudes for annihilation of two virtual photons into hadron resonances and continuum states, a process measurable with colliding electron-positron beams. The asymtotic behavior of resonance form factors and their absolute scale follows from light cone or parton model considerations; definite ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Oscillations to hidden photon in reactor and accelerator experiments

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Possible connection between visible and hidden Worlds of particle physics is provided by the vector portal interaction, that is kinetic mixing between ordinary (visible) and hidden photons.

Coherent photo-produced J/ψ and dielectron yields in isobaric collisions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
Recently, significant enhancements of J/ψ and e+e− pair production at very low transverse momenta were observed by the STAR and ALICE collaborations in peripheral hadronic A + A collisions.
