Liquid Crystalline Elastomers in Soft Robotics: Assessing Promise and Limitations
Liquid crystalline elastomers (LCEs) are programmable soft materials that undergo large, anisotropic deformation in response to external stimuli. Their molecular alignment encodes directional actuation in a monolithic structure, making them long‐standing candidates for soft robotic systems.

Laser‐Based Fabrication of Piezoresistive Cantilevers Utilizing Pulse Laser Annealing
This study presents a laser‐based approach for fabricating a silicon piezoresistive cantilever using nanosecond‐pulse laser annealing. All the fabrication steps are performed using a single‐laser processing system, enabling direct‐write patterning and automatic alignment of the piezoresistive layer with the sensor structure without lithography ...

First‐Principles Investigation of the T‐ and M‐Centers in Silicon Using Meta‐GGA Functionals
The relaxed structure for (a) T‐center and (b) M‐center. The calculations on the T‐center demonstrate excellent agreement with the HSE06, reinforcing the efficiency of meta‐GGA approaches for accurate defect characterization in Si. The M‐center is introduced, revealing promising quantum optical properties.

Butterfly‐shaped triphenylamine‐based guest molecules (DBDBD) doped into rigid host matrices (TPP, CA) achieve efficient, multicolor‐tunable room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP). The host‐guest synergy enables ultralong afterglow (up to 4 s) and quantum yields (Φp = 3.42%), with applications in dynamic anti‐counterfeiting and information encryption ...
