Giant Spin Hall Effect in Single Photon Plasmonics

open access: yes, 2012
We show the existence of a very large spin Hall effect of light (SHEL) in single photon plasmonics based on spontaneous emission and the dipole-dipole interaction initiated energy transfer (FRET) on plasmonic platforms. The spin orbit coupling inherent in Maxwell equations is seen in the conversion of sigma + photon to sigma - photon.

Photonic Quantum Spin Hall Effects in Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystals

open access: yesJournal of Condensed Matter
The analogue of the Quantum Spin Hall Effect in Two-Dimensional photonic crystals has provided a wide range of opportunities in the area of light. The topologically protected photonic crystals are robust against defects and disorders, providing a powerful platform for controlling and manipulating the flow of light.

Photonic Spin Hall Effect in Subwavelength Diffraction Gratings

open access: yesJETP Letters
The photonic spin Hall effect in structures with surface plasmon resonance has great potential for various polarization-sensitive applications and devices. A theoretical and experimental study of the photonic spin Hall effect in subwavelength diffraction gratings is carried out.

Gain assistant control of photonic spin Hall effect

open access: yes
In the photonic spin Hall effect (SHE), also known as transverse shift, incident light photons with opposite spins are spatially separated in the transverse direction due to the spin-orbit interaction of light.
