Physaloptera infections were diagnosed endoscopically in 18 dogs. Each case had vomiting as the primary clinical sign, and four cases had regurgitation as a concurrent sign. Fecal flotations, using magnesium sulfate solution, were performed in 12 of the 18 cases and were negative for Physaloptera eggs.
