Scanning Electron Microscopy of the Male Nematode Physaloptera (Tetradelphynema)
Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1977Nematodes are elongate, unsegmented worms with an elastic cuticle made of protein. Few published references concerning scanning electron microscopy of nematode are available and there is paucity of information at the ultrastructural level on cuticle forming male reproductive structures.

On the Identity of Physaloptera caucasica v. Linstow, 1902, and Physaloptera mordens Leiper, 1908
Journal of Helminthology, 1926Two species belonging to the Nematode genus Physaloptera have up to the present been reported from Man; P. caucasica v. Linstow, 1902, which has been obtained on one occasion only from the Caucasus, and P. mordens Leiper, 1908, which has been reported on several occasions from Man and Monkeys from Central Africa.

Ivermectin in the treatment of Physaloptera preputialis in two cats
Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association, 1995Two mixed-breed cats were examined for intermittent vomiting of several months' duration. Adult Physaloptera preputialis nematodes were detected in the vomitus and melena was observed in both cases. Clinicopathological abnormalities including anemia and eosinophilia were found in one case.
