Common Physicochemical Properties
2018This chapter shows the examples of physicochemical parameter lists for nanomaterials from various sources and provides descriptions of what is meant by the most common parameters. The scientific community responded to the demand by developing characterization guidance and lists of important physicochemical properties for toxicological and risk ...

Physicochemical Properties of Oilseed Protein
Critical Reviews in Biochemistry, 1986This review attempts to consolidate the information on the physicochemical properties of proteins from groundnut, soybean, sesame seed, mustard seed, rapeseed, sunflower seed, cottonseed, and other oilseeds. It deals with the extraction and characterization of the oilseed proteins and describes the methods for isolation of the various protein fractions

Some physicochemical properties of mucus
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1955Abstract The hypobranchial mucus of Busycon canaliculatum (L.) is surface active when dispersed in sea water. Freshly secreted mucus is adsorbed at the surface in greatest excess after a dilution of about tenfold. The viscosity of the fresh secretion is about 9 cp.; this decreases slightly during measurement but drops no further with increased rate ...

Physicochemical properties of kiwifruit starch
Food Chemistry, 2017Three varieties of golden kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) (Gold3, Gold9 and Hort16A) were collected at the commercial harvesting time, and physicochemical properties of starches from core and outer pericarp were studied. Starch contents (dry weight basis) in outer pericarp and core tissues ranged from 38.6 to 51.8% and 34.6 to 40.7%, respectively.

Prediction of Physicochemical Properties
2012Physicochemical properties are key factors in controlling the interactions of xenobiotics with living organisms. Computational approaches to toxicity prediction therefore generally rely to a very large extent on the physicochemical properties of the query compounds.

Physicochemical Properties of Magnesium Salicylate
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1981Magnesium salicylate tetrahydrate is a nonhygroscopic, crystalline powder, whereas anhydrous magnesium salicylate is amorphous and very hygroscopic. Magnesium salicylate tetrahydrate tablets formulated with gelatin as a binder showed a dissolution half-life (t1/2) of 12 min, whereas a formulation using pregelatinized starch as a binder showed a t1/2 of
