Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Effects of Blood Flow Restricted Resistance Exercise on Recovery Blood Flow under Various Environmental Temperature Conditions [PDF]
OBJECTIVES This study examines the impact of blood flow restriction (BFR) resistance exercise on blood flow across varying environmental temperatures, aiming to understand the physiological responses, exercise function, and recovery process affected by ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Slow invariant manifold of heartbeat model [PDF]
A new approach called Flow Curvature Method has been recently developed in a book entitled Differential Geometry Applied to Dynamical Systems. It consists in considering the trajectory curve, integral of any n-dimensional dynamical system as a curve in ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Physiological techniques for detecting expiratory flow limitation during tidal breathing [PDF]
Patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) often exhale along the same flow–volume curve during quiet breathing as they do during the forced expiratory vital capacity manoeuvre, and this has been taken as an indicator of expiratory

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

A mixed finite element method for nearly incompressible multiple-network poroelasticity
In this paper, we present and analyze a new mixed finite element formulation of a general family of quasi-static multiple-network poroelasticity (MPET) equations.
