Eight rice varieties of the Far East breeding have been studied by the method of DNA-typing to establish the presence of rice blast resistance genes. Six varieties possess one gene each: the varieties ‘Khankaysky 429’ and ‘Khankaysky 52’ possess the gene

Quantum renormalization of high energy excitations in the 2D Heisenberg antiferromagnet
We find using Monte Carlo simulations of the spin-1/2 2D square lattice nearest neighbour quantum Heisenberg antiferromagnet that the high energy peak locations at (pi,0) and (pi/2,pi/2) differ by about 6%, (pi/2,pi/2) being the highest.

Retrospective Evaluation of Gastrointestinal Signs in Hypothyroid Dogs
Few observations about gastrointestinal (GI) signs in hypothyroid dogs (hypo-T dogs) are available. We aimed to evaluate the prevalence and characteristics of concurrent GI signs in hypo-T dogs, describe clinicopathological, hepato-intestinal ultrasound ...

Simultaneous pi/2 rotation of two spin species of different gyromagnetic ratios
We examine the characteristics of the pi/2 pulse for simultaneously rotating two spin species of different gyromagnetic ratios with the same sign.

Froissart Bound on Total Cross-section without Unknown Constants
We determine the scale of the logarithm in the Froissart bound on total cross-sections using absolute bounds on the D-wave below threshold for $\pi\pi$ scattering. E.g. for $\pi^0 \pi^0$ scattering we show that for c.m. energy $\sqrt{s}\rightarrow \infty

Search for short strings in~$e^+e^-$-annihilation [PDF]
In this work the behavior of power corrections to Adler finction in operator product expansion (OPE) is studied, in particular the possible contribution of operator of dimension 2. The OPE terms of dimension 4 and 6 are taken into account.
