A search for the decay of the {tau} lepton to five charged and two neutral pions is performed using data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e{sup +}e{sup -} collider. The analysis uses 232 fb{sup -1} of data at center-of-mass energies on or near the {Upsilon}(4S) resonance.

Improvement in the irrationality measures of $\pi $ and $\pi ^2 $

The paper deals with irrationality measures for the numbers \(\pi^ 2\) and \(\pi/\sqrt 3\), which is less than 6,3489 and 4,6016 respectively. The linear independence measure of the numbers 1, \(\pi\) and \(\log 2\) is less than 7,0161. The proofs can be found in other works of the author.

An Eulerian Method for Representing $\pi^2$ by Series
