Robust decoupling PI controllers for multi-loop control
2012 IEEE 51st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2012Very often, the control of multivariable industrial processes is performed using multi-loop architectures, in which several SISO PI or PID controllers are committed to control different channels of the plant. A difficulty with such a strategy arises due to the interaction between the different control loops, which may cause the control action in a loop

PI control synthesis for event-triggered control systems
at - Automatisierungstechnik, 2015Abstract Event-triggered control aims at reducing the resource utilization, especially the communication over the feedback link, while guaranteeing a certain control performance. Although setpoint tracking problems are common in practice, the majority of the proposed approaches in literature focus on regulation problems.

Rethink the tradeoff between proportional controller and PI controller
Proceedings ISCC 2002 Seventh International Symposium on Computers and Communications, 2003In this paper we rethink the tradeoff between proportional controller and PI controller in AQM (active queue management) algorithm design. With the introduction of integral factor, the steady state error in a proportional controller such as RED is eliminated. However the integral factor also slows down the response speed.

Modern design of classical controllers: Digital PI controllers
2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2015In this paper we describe a new approach to the design of digital Proportional-Integral (PI) controllers. The approach consists of first parametrizing constant magnitude and constant phase loci in the space of controller gains. These loci consist of ellipses and straight lines respectively.

Stability analysis of a predictive PI controller
21st Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2013Industrial processes are typically regulated by PID controllers. However, for dead time dominating systems, the PID controller is not very applicable. More than two decades ago, a predictive PI controller was introduced for improving control performance of processes having dominating dead times.
