Silylation of Pyridine, Picolines, and Quinoline with a Zinc Catalyst [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Zn(OTf)2 (OTf– = trifluoromethanesulfonate) catalyzes the silylation of pyridine, 3-picoline, and quinoline to afford the silylated products, where the silyl groups are meta to the nitrogen. The isolated yields of the products range from 41 to 26%.

Chromium picolinate, zinc picolinate and zinc picolinate dihydrate added for nutritional purposes in food supplements [PDF]

open access: yesEFSA Journal, 2009
The Panel also noted that, although the safety of zinc itself, in terms of amounts that may be consumed, is outside the remit of this Panel, at the 97.5th percentile the dietary zinc intake from total food only is already close to the UL, as established by the SCF.

Selective enclathration of picolines [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 2004
The host 1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-1,2-ethane diol has been employed to separate the isomers 2-picoline (2-pic), 3-picoline (3-pic), and 4-picoline (4-pic) by selective enclathration. The crystal structures are all stabilized by (host)-O−H···N(guest) hydrogen bonds. The competition experiments show that enclathration preferentially takes place in the order 4-

Synthesis, Spectroscopy and Magnetism of Alkoxobridged Dinuclear Copper(II) Complexes with 2  Amino  Picolines as the Ligands [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2003
The synthesis, spectroscopic and magnetic characterization of a series of new alkoxo-bridged binuclear copper (II) compounds are described. All complexes have the general formula [Cu (m-OR)(L)2]2(ClO4)2 · x H2O, in which m-OR = CH3O-, C2H5O- or C3H7O-, L
