Research on the reasonable pile spacing of micro pile composite soil nailing

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2017
Through the numerical simulation software FLAC3D, study on the synergetic effect of micro pile composite soil nailing will be studied. By adjusting the micro pile spacing and analysing the displacement field and stress field of soil, we can find that supporting effect of the soil nail hasn't work yet when the micro pile spacing is 2D.

The Behavior of Pile Group Under Inclined Static Load With Different Angle of Inclination in Sandy Soil

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2021
Pile is the form of deep foundation some time may be applying as a condition of inclined loading. There are limited experimental studies in existence on the performance of vertical piles exposed to inclined loads.

Numerical study on the lateral behavior of pile groups in Toyoura sand using the hypoplastic constitutive model [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
A pile group under lateral loading is a complex pile‒soil-pile interaction problem. In this study, numerical analysis was used to investigate the lateral behavior of pile groups arranged in a 3 × 3 configuration with varying piles spacings.

Numerical investigation of laterally loaded pile groups at the crest of slopes [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Pile group foundations are widely used to support tall structures on both level and sloping terrain. However, predicting the lateral response of pile groups near slopes remains challenging due to complex soil-pile interactions that differ significantly ...

Model Test Study on the Vertical Uplift Bearing Characteristics of Soil Continuous Solidified Pile Group Foundations

open access: yesBuildings
To solve the problem of the high bearing capacity of structures in deep and weak soil layers, we invented a new type of pile group foundation in which the soil was continuously solidified between piles (hereinafter referred to as the SCS pile group ...

Pile Spacing Optimization of Short Piled Raft Foundation System for Obtaining Minimum Settlement on Peat

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2016
Short Piled Raft is a modified piled raft foundation system, which represents combination between raft foundation and pile foundation, but the length of pile is relatively shorter. The basic concept of the Short Piled Raft foundation system considers the passive soil pressure creating a stiff condition of slab-pile system.

Research on the Pile–Soil Interaction Mechanism of Micropile Groups in Transparent Soil Model Experiments

open access: yesBuildings
Micropile groups (MPGs) are typical landslide resistant structures. To investigate the effects of these two factors on the micropile–soil interaction mechanism, seven sets of transparent soil model experiments were conducted on miniature cluster piles ...

Numerical analysis of group effect on dragload on piles subjected to negative skin friction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Research - Egypt, 2022
In this paper, the group effect on dragload on pile group subjected to negative skin friction is studied. The effect of pile spacing, pile location in a group and pile number is studied using finite element program PLAXIS 3D. Single pile, 2x2 pile groups

Study on Bearing Capacity of Reinforced Composite Pipe Pile Group in Reclaimed Stratum under Vertical Load

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
A new stiffened composite pipe pile was developed for improving the foundation of reclaimed ground in ocean engineering. To study the bearing capacity of the stiffened composite pipe pile group, a combination of field test and finite element method was ...

Experimental Study of a Square Foundation with Connected and Non-Connected Piled Raft Foundation Under Eccentrically Loaded [PDF]

open access: yesCivil Engineering Infrastructures Journal, 2019
In the recent years, non-connected piled raft foundation has been considered as an economical and practical deep foundation in the situation that high shear and concentrated loads may occur at the connection of the raft and pile head.
