Northern Journal of Applied Forestry, 1990Abstract Pine-pine gall rust, caused by Endocronartium harknessii, accounted for >99% of all stem rusts encountered during a 1987 survey of jack pine in 71 plantations regenerated with planted stock or by seeding between 1979 and 1984 in northwestern Ontario.

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1981Abstract A nursery block of pines were treated on May 30 in Painter, Virginia. A 1-gal B & G compressed air sprayer was used at 30 psi. Plants were sprayed until runoff. Treatments were randomized and replicated 4 times, including check (water treated) and untreated trees. Temperature at the time of application was 80°F. Results were
