Regulation of ThermoTRP Channels by PIP2 and Cholesterol
2023Transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channels are proteins that are expressed by diverse tissues and that play pivotal functions in physiology. These channels are polymodal and are activated by several stimuli. Among TRPs, some members of this family of channels respond to changes in ambient temperature and are known as thermoTRPs.

The multifaceted role of PIP2 in leukocyte biology
Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2015Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) represents about 1 % of plasma membrane phospholipids and behaves as a pleiotropic regulator of a striking number of fundamental cellular processes. In recent years, an increasing body of literature has highlighted an essential role of PIP2 in multiple aspects of leukocyte biology.

PIP2 and Talin Join Forces to Activate Integrin
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2015Integrins are major players in cell adhesion and migration, and malfunctions in controlling their activity are associated with various diseases. Nevertheless, the details of integrin activation are not completely understood, and the role of lipids in the process is largely unknown. Herein, we show using atomistic molecular dynamics simulations that the

PIP2 Phospholipid-Induced Aggregation of Tau Filaments Probed by Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy.
Angewandte Chemie, 2018The morphology and secondary structure of peptide fibers formed by aggregation of tubulin-associated unit (Tau) fragments (K18), in the presence of the inner cytoplasmic membrane phosphatidylinositol component (PIP2 ) or heparin sodium (HS) as cofactors,

Binding of neomycin to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate (PIP2)
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1989Schacht (Schacht, J. (1976) J. Neurochem. 27, 1119-1124) demonstrated that neomycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, binds with high affinity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). We investigated the binding of neomycin to PIP2 by making electrophoretic mobility measurements with multilamellar bilayer vesicles and surface potential ...

The dynamics of PIP-transcripts accumulation in S. latifolium leaves during twenty-four hours was demonstrated using RT-PCR method. Sium latifolium plants were sampled in nature in the Psyol River (aquatic plants) and on the riverside (terrestrial plants) near Velyka Bagachka settlement (Poltava Region, Ukraine).
