The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Managing water loss for sustainability of rural water supply [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Water supply for rural areas flows through pipelines from many sources such as underground water and reservoirs. Due to factors such as human activities, geographic changes and natural hazards, pipelines are exposed to the ground, crack, leak and burst.

Fine-grained visualization pipelines and lazy functional languages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The pipeline model in visualization has evolved from a conceptual model of data processing into a widely used architecture for implementing visualization systems.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Flows in gas pipelines [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Safe and efficient use of compressors in a pipeline network is quite complex since high pressures and pressure fluctuations may damage the pipeline.

Pipeline vectorization [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2001
This paper presents pipeline vectorization, a method for synthesizing hardware pipelines based on software vectorizing compilers. The method improves efficiency and ease of development of hardware designs, particularly for users with little electronics design experience.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

A Comparative Review of Trenchless Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) With Spray Applied Pipe Lining (SAPL) Renewal Methods for Pipelines

open access: yesFrontiers in Water, 2022
Pipes have been used for thousands of years, the first record of copper piping dates to the Egyptians in 3000 BC. In today's time, pipelines play a dramatic role in our everyday life and is a backbone of our society.

Strategic Eurasian Natural Gas Model for Energy Security [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The mathematical formulation of a large-scale equilibrium natural gas simulation model is presented. Although large-scale natural gas models have been developed and used for energy security and policy analysis quite extensively (e.g., Holz (2007), Egging
