Piperazine Hepatitis

open access: yesGastroenterology, 1976
The first reported case of piperazine toxicity resembling viral hepatitis is described in a 25-year-old woman. The illness, which was severe, occurred after administration of the drug on two separate occasions. The evidence favors a hypersensitivity mechanism rather than a direct toxic effect of piperazine or its metabolites on the liver.

Piperazine-Linked Metalphthalocyanine Frameworks for Highly Efficient Visible-Light-Driven H2O2 Photosynthesis

open access: yes, 2022
Artificial photosynthesis of H2O2 from O2 reduction provides an energy-saving, safe, and green approach. However, it is still critical to develop highly active and selective 2e– oxygen reduction reaction photocatalysts for efficient H2O2 production owing

Metallocene-Naphthalimide Derivatives: The Effect of Geometry, DFT Methodology, and Transition Metals on Absorption Spectra

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
In the present paper, the photophysical properties of metallocene-4-amino-1,8-naphthalimide-piperazine molecules (1-M2+), as well as their oxidized and protonated derivatives (1−M3+, 1-M2+-H+, and 1-M3+-H+), where M = Fe, Co, and Ni, were studied via DFT

Biopolymer Modified with Piperazine-2- Carboxylic Acid for Carbon Dioxide Adsorption

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2013
A new adsorbent biopolymer, piperazine bipolymer (PBP), was successfully modified with a piperazine derivative for CO2 adsorption. The biopolymer was purified by an alkali treatment to obtain 96.43 % degree of deacetylation and used as the reactive ...

Densities, Apparent Molar Volume, Expansivities, Hepler’s Constant, and Isobaric Thermal Expansion Coefficients of the Binary Mixtures of Piperazine with Water, Methanol, and Acetone at T = 293.15 to 328.15 K

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2018
The properties of 3 binary mixtures containing piperazine were investigated in this work. In a first step, the densities for the two binary mixtures (piperazine + methanol) and (piperazine + acetone) were measured in the temperature range of 293.15 to ...

Synthesis and spectroscopic investigation of substituted piperazine-2,5-dione derivatives

open access: yes, 2023
The piperazine-2,5-dione moiety is a useful scaffold for functionalisation to generate bioactive molecules. Synthetic methods for accessing substituted piperazine-2,5-diones involve cyclising dipeptides or building from the already established core ...
