Equatorial piperidine and the piperidine–water complex.

Chemical Physics, 1998
Abstract The rotational spectra of all mono-substituted 13 C -isotopomers of equatorial piperidine and of the piperidine–water complex were analyzed and their rotational, centrifugal distortion, and quadrupole coupling constants were derived.

The chemistry of piperidines—I

Tetrahedron, 1973
Abstract The reaction of pyrrolidine, piperidine and morpholine enamines of 1-methyl-4-piperidone with acraldehyde is found to be a convenient route to 3-aza-3-methyl-6-cycloalkylaminobicyclo[3.3.1]-nonan-9-ones. In each case two difficultly separable ketones are obtained which on reduction give mixtures of isomeric alcohols.

Immobilization of a Photoswitchable Piperidine Base

Organic Letters, 2009
The synthesis of a photoswitchable piperidine base, carrying a monochlorosilane anchoring group, and its immobilization on silica gel, mimicking an oxide surface, is reported. Efficient photoswitching between the E and Z isomers of the azobenzene photochrome was demonstrated for the immobilization precursor in solution and the immobilized piperidine ...

The Synthesis of Certain Disubstituted Piperidines

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1951
Several isomers of 2,6-bis-(1-hydroxyalkyl) piperidine hydrochlorides, in which the alkyl group is propyl, butyl, pentyl, hexyl, and benzyl have been prepared by hydrogenating the corresponding five 2,6-diacylpyridine intermediates. 3,5-Diphenylpieridine and a by-roduct, 2,4-diphenylpentamethylenediamine dihydrochlorde, were also prepared.

Pyridine and piperidine alkaloids

1991
The compounds of pyridine and piperidine alkaloids are plant bases and are being isolated from insects and from amphibians and marine animals. They are widely distributed in nature and they perform a number of different functions in nature, such as train pheromones and defense mechanisms in insects. In many cases, the stereochemistry is complex and the
