Congruence kernels of distributive PJP-semilattices [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2011
Summary: A meet semilattice with a partial join operation satisfying certain axioms is a JP-semilattice. A PJP-semilattice is a pseudocomplemented JP-semilattice. In this paper we describe the smallest PJP-congruence containing a kernel ideal as a class. Also we describe the largest PJP-congruence containing a filter as a class.

Pneumocystis jirovecii Pneumonia Prophylaxis for Cancer Patients during Chemotherapy

open access: yesPathogens, 2021
Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is one type of life-threatening pneumonia in immunocompromised patients. PJP development should be considered in not only immunocompromised individuals, but also patients undergoing intensive chemotherapies and ...

Comparison of early and late Pneumocystis jirovecii Pneumonia in kidney transplant patients: the Korean Organ Transplantation Registry (KOTRY) Study

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Late Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is not rare in the era of universal prophylaxis after kidney transplantation. We aimed to determine the nationwide status of PJP prophylaxis in Korea and compare the incidence, risk factors, and outcomes of ...

High incidence and mortality of Pneumocystis jirovecii infection in anti-MDA5-antibody-positive dermatomyositis: experience from a single center

open access: yesArthritis Research & Therapy, 2021
Background Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) are associated with a significantly higher risk of opportunistic infections including Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP), a potentially fatal opportunistic infection.

Metagenomic next‐generation sequencing for pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia in patients with connective tissue disease

open access: yesRheumatology & Autoimmunity, 2023
Background Accurate diagnosis of Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is challenging, and the delayed diagnosis of PJP is associated with high mortality in patients with connective tissue disease (CTD).

Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors: A systematic literature review of published case reports and disproportionality analysis based on the FAERS database

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2023
Background: Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) has been reported with ICIs but limited to case reports. The clinical features of PJP with ICIs remain mostly unknown.

On the curious spectrum of duality invariant higher-derivative gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We analyze the spectrum of the exactly duality and gauge invariant higher-derivative double field theory. While this theory is based on a chiral CFT and does not correspond to a standard string theory, our analysis illuminates a number of issues central ...

Polyhedral approximations of the semidefinite cone and their application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We develop techniques to construct a series of sparse polyhedral approximations of the semidefinite cone. Motivated by the semidefinite (SD) bases proposed by Tanaka and Yoshise (2018), we propose a simple expansion of SD bases so as to keep the sparsity

Epidemiology, mortality and effectiveness of prophylaxis for Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia among rheumatic patients: a territory-wide study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobials, 2021
Background Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia (PJP) is an opportunistic infection affecting immunocompromised individuals. However, evidence regarding the burden and effectiveness of prophylaxis among rheumatic patients remains limited.
