Place conditioning with morphine and phencyclidine: Dose dependent effects

Life Sciences, 1985
In a place conditioning paradigm, rats were exposed to one of two distinctive environments following injection of drug or vehicle. Preference was measured under drug free conditions by allowing subjects free access to both settings and measuring where they spent more time.

Evidence for state-dependent retrieval in conditioned place aversion

Behavioral and Neural Biology, 1993
State-dependent retrieval (SDR) in conditioned place aversion (CPA) was observed using Long-Evans male rats, with three different aversive drugs injected ip: lithium chloride (31.8 mg/kg), FG 7142 (10 mg/kg), and naloxone (5 mg/kg). Experiment 1 showed that state-dependent dissociation was complete with lithium chloride following two conditioning ...

Dose-dependent and baseline-dependent conditioning with d-amphetamine in the place conditioning paradigm

Psychopharmacology, 1989
The place conditioning paradigm was used to evaluate the positively reinforcing effects of d-amphetamine. During conditioning, female rats were injected (IP) with saline or one of five doses (0.625-5 mg/kg) of d-amphetamine (d-A) and confined to the initially non-preferred side of the testing apparatus.

Academic Solidarity and Placefulness: How Does Universitas Depend on Place?*

Philosophy and Theory in Higher Education
Abstract In this paper, I explore the foundational role of place in shaping academic solidarity, drawing from insights in educational research and phenomenology, particularly focusing on the concepts of Universitas and placefulness. I argue that academic solidarity is intricately tied to the experience of place, making it vulnerable to contemporary ...
