Know thy star, know thy planet – disentangling planet discovery & stellar activity
Kepler and K2 have enabled studies of exoplanets and stars. This thesis focuses on two goals: characterising starspots on Kepler stars and finding and following up K2 exoplanets. Starspot evolution produces quasi-sinusoidal light curves.

Decoding the Future of Exoplanets: Asteroseismic Confirmation of Subgiant and Red Giant Hosts
Asteroseismology has emerged as a powerful tool to unravel the intricate relationships between evolved stars and their planetary systems. In this study, we leverage this technique to investigate the evolutionary stages of five exoplanet host stars, each ...

ABSTRACT Transformative change is required to address persistent and systemic drivers of biodiversity loss. There is an urgent need for innovative solutions that tackle root causes in place‐specific contexts. Evidence indicates that small, innovative, purpose‐driven businesses can serve as vehicles for developing place‐based solutions.
