In-plane force constants for LiBeF3 and Li2BeF4

Journal of Molecular Structure, 1975
Abstract Comments are given on different representations of the force fields for LiBeF 3 and Li 2 BeF 4 . For both structures a planar bridged C 2v model has been adopted. A representation ( F ) in terms of symmetry coordinates is obtained by a transformation of a force-constant matrix, F , which is based on valence coordinates with redundancies.

Force field for in-plane vibrations of terephthalonitrile

Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 1989
The general quadratic force field for the in-plane vibrations of terephthalonitrile was calculated by the semi-empirical MINDO/3 method. This force field was refined to the frequencies observed experimentally for terephthalonitrile and isotopic shifts of terephthalonitrile-[15N2]. The refined frequencies reproduce the experimental data with errors less

Concentrated-Force Problems in Plane Strain, Plane Stress, and Transverse Bending of Plates

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1946
Abstract A general method is described for the solution of problems of transverse bending of thin plates acted on by concentrated normal forces, and of problems of plane stress or plane strain, in which concentrated forces are applied to the boundaries. The solution is taken in two parts: (a) The special functions which give the stresses
