High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

In vitro plant regeneration from flower stalk explants of Phalaenopsis amabilis (L.) Bl
An in vitro method was developed for plant regeneration of Phalaenopsis amabilis variety and hybrid using flower stalk cuttings. Experiments were conducted to overcome persistent contamination of stalks, break bud dormancy and induce regeneration of ...

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Root-shoot interactions and plant life forms.
Interactions of water and nutrient flows on C relations are explained and typical features of root:shoot ratios in perennial plants including grasses and woody spp. are discussed. In a hydrostable annual crop plant (cowpea) partitioning was controlled by transpiration rate/leaf area and by the capacity of the root for water uptake.

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Effects of Rate of Drying, Life History Phase, and Ecotype on the Ability of the Moss Bryum Argenteum to Survive Desiccation Events and the Influence on Conservation and Selection of Material for Restoration [PDF]
Desiccation stress is frequently experienced by the moss Bryum argenteum and can influence survival, propagation and niche selection. We attempted to disentangle the interacting factors of life history phase (five categories) and rate of desiccation ...
