“Production and Chemical Composition of Plasma Activated Water: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis”

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers
The physio‐chemical interplay between cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) and water confers unique chemical and biological properties to the liquid, producing plasma‐activated water (PAW).

Selective generation of reactive oxygen species in plasma-activated water using CO2 plasma

open access: yesJournal of Vacuum Science & Technology A, 2023
In this study, we discuss a process for selectively generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), such as H2O2 and dissolved O3, in plasma-activated water (PAW) using pure CO2 as a plasma-forming gas. A detailed comparison of the gas species/radicals present

Establishment of surface functionalization methods for spore-based biosensors and implementation into sensor technologies for aseptic food processing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Aseptic processing has become a popular technology to increase the shelf-life of packaged products and to provide non-contaminated goods to the consumers. In 2017, the global aseptic market was evaluated to be about 39.5 billion USD.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Characterizations of a Plasma-Water System Generated by Repetitive Microsecond Pulsed Discharge with Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Argon Gases Species

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
A non-thermal plasma-water system using a microsecond pulsed high-voltage power supply was investigated with air, nitrogen, oxygen, and argon gas feedings individually.

Enhanced Gel Properties of Duck Myofibrillar Protein by Plasma-Activated Water: Through Mild Structure Modifications

open access: yesFoods, 2023
This study assessed the gel properties and conformational changes of duck myofibrillar protein (DMP) affected by plasma-activated water (PAW) generated at various discharge times (0 s, 10 s, 20 s, 30 s, and 40 s).

Ampk regulates IgD expression but not energy stress with B cell activation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Ampk is an energy gatekeeper that responds to decreases in ATP by inhibiting energy-consuming anabolic processes and promoting energy-generating catabolic processes.

Non-linear photochemical pathways in laser induced atmospheric aerosol formation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We measured the chemical composition and the size distribution of aerosols generated by femtosecond-Terawatt laser pulses in the atmosphere using an aerosol mass spectrometer (AMS).

Diabetes‐induced vascular calcification is associated with low pyrophosphate and its oral supplementation prevents calcification in diabetic mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

The Effect of Gas Flow Rate, Exposure Times and Ageing on the Physicochemical Properties of Water Activated by Glow Discharge Plasma Jet

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2023
The goal of this work is to look into how the glow discharge plasma jet system changes the chemical and physical features of water. In this work, the physical and chemical properties of water were studied by using a plasma jet with Argon gas.
