Determination of the Density Profile in a Plasma Slab [PDF]

open access: yesThe Physics of Fluids, 1969
A simple formula is derived, for the direct determination of the electron density profile of a symmetric plasma slab, in terms of the arc resistance of the slab as a function of frequency. The cold-plasma approximation is used.

Residual gas entering high density hydrogen plasma: rarefaction due to rapid heating [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The interaction of background molecular hydrogen with magnetized (0.4 T) high density (1-5 × 1020 m-3) low temperature (∼3 eV) hydrogen plasma was inferred from the Fulcher band emission in the linear plasma generator Pilot-PSI.

Changes in the Plasma Lipid Profile as a Potential Predictor of Clinical Outcome in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In 50 consecutive children admitted to the intensive care unit with the clinical diagnosis of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF)/dengue shock syndrome (grade III or IV), 20 patients with mild DHF (grade I or II), and 20 healthy control patients, the plasma ...

Underdense plasma lens with a transverse density gradient

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2023
We explore the implications of a transverse density gradient on the performance of an underdense plasma lens and nonlinear plasma-based accelerator. Transverse density gradients are unavoidable in plasma sources formed in the outflow of standard gas jets,

In situ and ground-based intercalibration measurements of plasma density at l = 2.5 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
[1] Two independent ground-based experiments and two satellite-borne experiments are used to interpret the changes in plasmaspheric composition at the same point in space during moderate geomagnetic activity on 22 January and 14 February 2001.

A coordinated ground-based and IMAGE satellite study of quiet-time plasmaspheric density profiles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Cold plasma mass density profiles in the plasmasphere have been determined for the geomagnetically quiet day of 19th August 2000 using the cross-phase technique applied to ground-based magnetometer data from the SAMNET, IMAGE and BGS magnetometer arrays.

Propagation characteristics of relativistic ultrashort laser pulse in inhomogeneous plasma

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
We study the propagation of a relativistic ultrashort laser pulse in two-dimensional inhomogeneous plasma with a density ripple based on the theoretical analysis and the particle-in-cell simulation.

The Effect of Power on Inductively Coupled Plasma Parameters

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2022
In this work, we studied the effect of power variation on inductively coupled plasma parameters using numerical simulation. Different values were used for input power (750 W-1500 W), gas temperature 300K, gas pressure (0.02torr),         5 tourns of

MEASUREMENT OF H-DENSITY IN A PLASMA BY PHOTODETACHMENT

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1979
Techniques have been developed for measurement of the density of H− in a plasma by photodetachment. Photodetachment is detected by the increase in electron density with no change in positive ion density after a light pulse from a ruby laser. The authenticity of photodetachment signals can be assured by their comparison with known cross sections for ...
