DELP Treatment on Vision and Retinal Microcirculation in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: Report of Five Cases and Literature Review

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

ColRadPy: A Python collisional radiative solver

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2019
The properties of emitting ions in a plasma provides both potential for plasma diagnostics and key information required for plasma modeling. Generalized collisional radiative theory provides a powerful tool for the modeling of low and moderately dense ...

Development of a Set of Synthetic Diagnostics for the Confrontation between 2D Transport Simulations and WEST Tokamak Experimental Data

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Transport codes are frequently used for describing fusion plasmas with the aim to prepare tokamak operations. Considering novel codes, such as SolEdge3X-HDG, synthetic diagnostics are a common technique used to validate new models and confront them with ...

Temperature distribution of a non-flaring active region from simultaneous Hinode XRT and EIS observations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We analyze coordinated Hinode XRT and EIS observations of a non-flaring active region to investigate the thermal properties of coronal plasma taking advantage of the complementary diagnostics provided by the two instruments.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Photodestruction of Diatomic Molecular Ions: Laboratory and Astrophysical Application

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
In this work, the processes of photodissociation of some diatomic molecular ions are investigated. The partial photodissociation cross-sections for the individual rovibrational states of the diatomic molecular ions, which involves alkali metals, as well ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
