Josephson plasma edge in La1.85Sr0.15CuO4

open access: yesPhysica B: Condensed Matter, 1995
The far-infrared dielectric c-axis response for La 1.85 Sr 0.15 CuO 4 shows a pronounced plasma edge below the BCS superconductive gap frequency. The low frequency of this plasmon was previously interpreted as an indication for anomalous mass enhancement for the c-axis transport.

Collisionless absorption in sharp-edged plasmas

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1992
The absorption of subpicosecond, obliquely incident laser light is studied using a 11/2D particle-in-cell code. Density scale lengths from L/\ensuremath{\lambda}=0.01 to 2 and laser irradiances between I${\ensuremath{\lambda}}^{2}$=${10}^{14}$ and ${10}^{18}$ W ${\mathrm{cm}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}2}$ \ensuremath{\mu}${\mathrm{m}}^{2}$ are considered.

Transport Processess in the Plasma Edge [PDF]

open access: yesFusion Science and Technology, 2008
Basic properties of the plasma edge in magnetically confined fusion plasmas are summarized. Starting from the magnetic topology of tokamaks we describe the transport of the scrape-off layer includi...

Simulation of W dust transport in the KSTAR tokamak, comparison with fast camera data

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2017
In this paper, dust transport in tokamak plasmas is studied through both experimental and modeling aspects. Image processing routines allowing dust tracking on CCD camera videos are presented.

Transport barrier onset and edge turbulence shortfall in fusion plasmas

open access: yesCommunications Physics, 2022
A central problem in magnetized fusion plasmas is to understand whether the plasma edge sustains a turbulent state and transitions to improved confinement.

Boundary Reconstruction of Tokamak Plasma Based on Deep Neural Networks

open access: yes南方能源建设, 2022
[Introduction] In order to realize the real-time reconstruction of plasma shape and position in tokamak, a visible light edge reconstruction algorithm based on fully connected neural network is proposed based on the analysis of camera calibration ...

Effect of aspect ratio on plasma response to resonant magnetic perturbations in tokamak devices

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
A systematic numerical study is carried out, computing and comparing the plasma response to the resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) field, applied for controlling edge localized modes (ELMs), in a series of tokamak plasmas with varying aspect ratio and ...

Exploration of non-resonant divertor features on the Compact Toroidal Hybrid

open access: yesNuclear Fusion, 2023
Non-resonant divertors (NRDs) separate the confined plasma from the surrounding plasma facing components (PFCs). The resulting striking field line intersection pattern on these PFCs is insensitive to plasma equilibrium effects.
