Electrolyte and electrolyte-additives for improved plasma electrolytic oxidation on magnesium alloys
Plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) is a pivotal method to create a thick and adherent protective oxide layer on magnesium (Mg) alloys, significantly enhancing their wear and corrosion resistance. The functional oxide layers fabricated via PEO have diverse potential applications, including automobile, aerospace, machinery, biomedical, thermal ...

This study shows that alkaline leaching of PrBa0.8Ca0.2Co2O5+δ under anodic bias selectively removes Ba and Ca, forming a cobalt‐rich and amorphous layer. The modified surface significantly boosts ORR activity, offering a simple and effective strategy to improve electrochemical device performance.

Ion‐Reconfigurable “N”‐Shaped Antiambipolar Behavior in Organic Electrochemical Transistors
A unique N‐shaped negative differential transconductance (NDT) characteristics is demonstrated in single‐polymer organic electrochemical transistors through a sequential doping–redox–doping process driven by iodide ions. This redox‐driven mechanism enables low‐voltage, ion‐controlled reconfigurability and tunable current modulation, allowing seamless ...

Electrochemical CO2RR is a key technology for converting CO2 into chemicals, but there remains a gap between “laboratory science” and “engineering practice” in current research. This review establishes a multi‐scale research framework, encompassing atomic‐level characterization, microenvironment regulation, external field‐assisted optimization, and AI ...

Vertical organic electrochemical transistors (vOECTs) are limited in speed by ion‐impermeable metal electrodes that slow ion injection. Using ion‐permeable PBFDO top electrodes allows direct vertical ion injection into BBL channels, achieving high current densities (>400 A cm−2), large on/off ratios (>106), and ultrafast switching in 28 µs. This sets a

We present a photoresponsive platform that integrates SACs with halide perovskite supports, turning perovskite ion mobility, typically a stability concern, into a functional mechanism for light‐regulated self‐repair and reversible atomic reconfiguration. Adaptive metal‐support interactions are established through bandgap‐funnel engineering and the soft
