Comparison of exchange of α-tocopherol and free cholesterol between rat plasma lipoproteins and erythrocytes

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1975
The simultaneous exchange of (3h)tocopherol and (14C)cholesterol between rat plasma, rat plasma lipoproteins, and RBC was studied in vitro to compare quantitavely (a) the fractional exchange rates and (b) the half-times for isotope equilibration.

Quantum exchange interaction of spherically symmetric plasmoids

open access: yes, 2012
We study nano-sized spherically symmetric plasma structures which are radial nonlinear oscillations of electrons in plasma. The effective interaction of these plasmoids via quantum exchange forces between ions is described.

Efficacy of three plasma exchange methods in improving renal insufficiency after kidney transplantation and the induction of plasma exchange related adverse reactions: a comparative study

open access: yesZhongguo shuxue zazhi
Objective To compare the efficacy of double filtration plasmapheresis(DFPP), centrifugal therapeutic plasma exchange(cTPE) and centrifugation-filtration plasmapheresis(CFPP) in improving renal insufficiency after kidney transplantation, as well as the ...

Exchange of phospholipid classes between liver microsomes and plasma: comparison of rat, rabbit, and guinea pig

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1971
Rat and guinea pig liver microsomes labeled with phospholipid 32P were incubated with rat, guinea pig, and rabbit plasma in a KC1–Tris–EDTA buffer. A net transfer of microsomal phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine to plasma was observed.

Dynamics of Alfv\'en waves in partially ionized astrophysical plasmas

open access: yes, 2009
We develop a two dimensional, self-consistent, compressible fluid model to study evolution of Alfvenic modes in partially ionized astrophysical and space plasmas.

Conventional Therapeutic Plasma Exchange Versus Low Volume Plasma Exchange in Chronic Pathologies: Potential Benefit in Alzheimer’s Disease

open access: yesPlasmatology, 2022
Conventional therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) is aimed at removing pathological agents from circulation using a medical device which separates out plasma from other components of blood.

Modulation of waves due to charge-exchange collisions in magnetized partially ionized space plasma

open access: yes, 2010
A nonlinear time dependent fluid simulation model is developed that describes the evolution of magnetohydrodynamic waves in the presence of collisional and charge exchange interactions of a partially ionized plasma.

Glimpse on Hemostatic Changes Produced By Plasmapheresis.

open access: yesمجلة كلية الطب, 2010
Background: Aphaeresis is a term that means to separate or to take away. The basic idea of aphaeresis is efficient removal of a circulating cellular blood component, either cells (Cytopheresis) or plasma solute (plasmapheresis, plasma exchange). Thus, the

Self-consistent Simulations of Plasma-Neutral in a Partially Ionized Astrophysical Turbulent Plasma

open access: yes, 2009
A local turbulence model is developed to study energy cascades in the heliosheath and outer heliosphere (OH) based on self-consistent two-dimensional fluid simulations.
