Peptide‐Based Biomaterials as a Promising Tool for Cancer Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review provides a systematic overview of peptide‐based biomaterials in tumor radiotherapy, covering their roles as both radiosensitizers and radiopharmaceuticals. Peptide‐based radiosensitizers are generally divided into three categories: peptides as direct radiosensitizers, peptides as carriers of radiosensitizers, and targeted‐peptide‐modified ...

Plasma Lipids and Lipoproteins

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1988
The lipoproteins are globular particles which contain a non-polar core, triglyceride and cholesterol ester, surrounded by phospholipids, unesterified cholesterol and various apoproteins.Dietary triglycerides and cholesterol are incorporated into chylomicron, which are eventually hydrolyzed into chylomicron remnants by lipoprotein lipase.

Delivery of human apolipoprotein (apo) E to liver by an [E1(-), E3(-), polymerase(-), pTP(-)] adenovirus vector containing a liver-specific promoter inhibits atherogenesis in immunocompetent apoE-deficient mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Recombinant adenovirus (rAd)-mediated apoE gene transfer to the liver of apoE(-/-) mice is anti-atherogenic. However, first generation rAd vectors were associated with immune clearance of transduced hepatocytes, while an improved [E1(-), E3(-) polymerase(
